Why do you recommend zero oil food?
Heart disease have (coronary artery disease) become very common in the present world. There are various risk factors leading to this disease but the commonest one is the food habits and the lifestyle. In Indian culture, food plays a vital role. Festivals, ceremonies etc. are lavished with variety of foods specially made of oil and ghee. Such foods contribute to high calories. Overweight is yet another problem faced due to such foods. When the intake of fat foods increase the fat content in our body increase and as we know the fat content in our body increases and as we know fat takes a longer time to get digested so it stores in our body, which leads to obesity. When there is excess of fat in the blood it settles in the arteries and creates the blockage. So, when there is so much fat in the body we do not recommend oil in the food and insist on zero oil food so that the fat deposited in the arteries as blockage meets the requirement of the fat in the body.
How does oil affect our heart?
All oils are 100% fats and the major content of these oils are Triglycerides. In heart disease, the problem is blockage or deposition of fats inside the tubes supplying blood to the heart. Amonsgt the two types of fats, that make the deposit one is Cholesterol and other is Triglyceride. When the excess amount of oil is taken in our food it increases our blood levels of Triglycerides. When the blood level of Triglycerides exceeds a particular level(above 130mg/dl) more blockages are formed. Thus all the oils are bad for the heart and push up the chances of blockage.
The possibility becomes more in the modern mechanized society- when we are exercising less and less. Most of our time we spend sitting and doing the low-grade physical activity (watching TV, working on computers, driving cars, talking on telephones)- which do not help in digesting the oil that we take in most of our food.
