“Which Oil should be taken?” – “None”
Scientifically all oils are triglycerides. Triglyceride is composed of 1 molecule of glycerol and three fatty acid. Triglycerides are found in the food you eat & also in your body, including your blood stream. These fatty acid present in triglycerides can be of three kinds Saturated Fatty Acid (SFA), Monounsaturated (MUFA) or Polyunsaturated Fatty Acid (PUFA).
Saturated fats are white, oily substances that are solid at room temperature. They are main component of visible fat around meat, meat drippings that become after cooling and ghee, butter & cheese, in addition to their presence in animal products such as red meat, whole milk, cheese & ice cream.
Unsaturated fats are clear oily, substances that are liquid at room temperature. They are the main components of oils that come from plants. In monounsaturated fats one hydrogen atom is absent. In polyunsaturated fat, more than 1 hydrogen atom is absent.
The question which arises now is “which oil should be taken?” & the answer is “None”.
The reason for adopting a zero visible oil diet is that the difference between the three types of fat in terms of effect is almost same. For example, if a SFA is 92% harmful,MUFA will be 90% while PUFA will be 88% harmful. So PUFA is less harmful than SFA but the fact cannot be denied that it is harmful. The understanding of oil is lacking in the public and the oil companies take advantage of it. For reversal, Saaol recommends a totally zero visible oil diet.
