WHAT IS HEART ATTACK?
Angina blockages always develop under a membrane called internal membrane(Intima), which gets stretched gradually with the increase in blockage.
Finally, on the day this membrane ruptures(break off) which is followed by the clotting of blood, changing the block now to 100%. This cuts off the blood supply entirely leading to a Heart Attack.
This 100% block leads to severe pain, sweating and ultimately some area of the heart muscle dies leading to permanent damage. Heart Attack or Myocardial Infarction (medically called MI or Coronary Thrombosis) is the consequence of the complete obstruction of blood supply to apart of the coronary arteries or their branches. The heart muscles are completely deprived of their blood and oxygen supply leads to death.
