Note:- This is the new system of calorie count devised by Dr. Bimal Chhajer; MD, and makes counting of calories possible in an easy way and helps common people to count possible approximately while they eat. This system is valid only when the foods are cooked or eaten with zero oil or with minimum oil. This system will help common people to lose weight without any effort as they fill up their stomach with low calories.

The modern medical science has divided all our foods and recipes into seven components. These are carbohydrates, proteins, fats, minerals, vitamins, water, and fiber. Other than these seven, in all the foods a; over the world, there is no extra possible.

The first three- carbohydrates, proteins, and fats- are the providers of calorie in our body. The rest – minerals, water, vitamins, and fiber- do not provide energy or calories but are very important for our living. They are “zero calorie food.”

The table here provides a list of foods which are predominantly carbohydrates, proteins of fats in our food. Water is taken separately, with the food and most of the times they are components of every food. Vitamins and minerals are also eaten as parts of foods – they are mostly present in fruits, salads in good quantity and in most other foods in smaller quantity.
So far as calories are concerned, one gram of carbohydrates food will give us four calories, one gram of protein will give us nine calories. But calorie calculations become difficult when we find almost all the foods have some particular percentages of these three. A usual chart with food values becomes very difficult- as we have to add all the individual calories by using a calculator. This does not become possible in practice. Even the doctors and dieticians are confused using the usual food- calorie chart.

In Saaol, we started analyzing all the foods for calories and we found approximately all the common foods can be categorized seven-eight years and found them very patient friendly(we had heart patients who also wanted to lose weight in order to solve heart disease).
We devised a very high-calorie food category- which contains a high amount of fat. This category was named as Rs 500 calorie notes. The foods with carbohydrates were divided into three categories, depending on how much are their presence in a particular food. One group was high-calorie carbohydrates (HCC) and were named as Rs 100 notes; the second group was having the medium amount of carbohydrates and was called Rs 50 notes and the third group, which had the lowest amount of carbohydrates, was called low calories notes or Rs notes.

In protein foods – we did not include meats – as we recommended people to eat a very low amount of cholesterol and all the non- vegetarian foods were having a high amount of cholesterol. But the pulses were put in these three categories- depending on their presence and calories. For meats, we can put fish and chickens in Rs 100 notes and other in Rs 500.
