NEW SAAOL SAFETY CIRCLE

SAAOL has designed a special ‘device’ which tell you exactly how healthy and safe you are from lifestyle diseases especially ‘heart disease’; this is called “SAAOL SAFETY CIRCLE”.
New SAAOL Safety Circle has 3 major groups of parameters and 3 colours (green, yellow and red) as er their levels in the body.

Serum Cholesterol

• Best level is below 130 mg/dl
• Cholesterol comes from animal food like non-veg food, egg, milk and milk products.
• Our body also produces some cholesterol.
• Excess cholesterol accumulates in the coronary artery which leads to blockage, and coronary artery disease.

Serum Triglycerides

• Best level is below 100 mg/dl.
• Triglyceride comes from oil and oily food like nuts and dry fruits.
• If total triglycerides increase in the blood, they also start depositing in the coronary artery, creating blockages in them.

HDL vs. Cholesterol

• Best level is less than 25%.
• HDL stands for High-Density Lipoprotein. It is good cholesterol.
• It is increased by yoga, exercise and physical activity.

Blood Pressure

Blood pressure is the pressure of your blood on the walls of your arteries as your heart pumps it around your body. Best blood pressure is 120/80 mm/hg.

Blood Sugar (HbA1C)

HbA1C stands for Glycosylated Hemoglobin. It should be less than 6.5%.

Weight (BMI)

BMI stands for Body Mass Index, which is the ratio of height and weight. If your weight is more in proportion to your height then your BMI tends to be more. BMI should be 18-24.

Zero Oil Food

Latest and high concept of lifestyle has its core in zero oil diet. Zero Oil Diet is helping SAAOL patients from the past 24 years. To live safe, best is to follow a 100% zero oil diet.

Vegetarianism

Complete vegetarian lifestyle has gained enormous acceptance worldwide, of course, because of its extraordinary health benefits. Luckily we are living in a country where this has already been a way of living since ages. Non-vegetarian food is condemned because of his high fat and cholesterol content, thus vegetarianism is an ideal solution to the problem of cholesterol at least. Best is to follow 100% vegetarianism to avoid many diseases including heart disease.

Milk & Dairy

In India milk is very strongly associated with health drinking milk on a regular basis is mandatory in almost every household of the country. This is a major reason SAAOL found for high cholesterol in pure vegetarian. Cholesterol is found only in animal food. Milk, Ghee, Paneer etc being of animal origin has cholesterol and thus should be avoided. Consume double toned milk which is restricted to 200ml per day. Milk products should be included in this quota of 200 ml.

Fruits/Salad & Vegetables Intake

Fruit and Salad play a very crucial role in improving our general health. They not only provide energy, but also many important and essential other components like minerals, vitamins, antioxidants and fibre. Amount of their intake is very strongly related to the status of general health. Best is to take fruits, salad and vegetables every day.

Stress

Stress has become an integral part of our lives. All of us seem to be in stress because of one or the other reason. Definitely, stress is very dangerous for the heart, but still, we can completely avoid it, in fact, some stress is even required to keep the pace of life normal, absolutely zero stress can block the development and growth. So keep stress at 50%.

Tobacco/Smoking

Smoking or chewing tobacco, gutka etc are equally harmful and are well proven to be extremely harmful for the heart. Tobacco, cigarette, gutka etc actually makes the wall of coronary artery sticky, which facilitates the accumulation of cholesterol and triglycerides, leading to speedy blockages and coronary artery disease. Best is to fully avoid smoking and tobacco.

Walk (35 min)

Walk is an extremely essential component of a healthy life; its importance is very well established in medical science. Walk keeps the blood circulation proper, keeps our heart in the practice of taking a load of extra physical work, keeps the digestion proper, reduces extra body weight and keeps the body fit and healthy. SAAOL wants 35 minutes of walk every day.

Yoga (30 min)

In recent time yoga has gained amazing support and faith from medical fraternity. Yoga has been accepted literally worldwide as a great healing therapy, in fact, western world is getting more benefit from it than from us, these days. From you, SAAOL wants 30 minutes of yoga every day.
