Everyone Needs to Know About Corona Virus Disease

The Corona Virus Disease (Covid-19) is spreading fast. More than 98,000 people are known to be infected and over 3,300 deaths have been recorded – including an elderly person in the UK who was diagnosed with the virus.

The bulk of cases and fatalities have been confined to China, but the virus is spreading internationally. Two other Corona Viruses – Middle East Respiratory Syndrome (Mers) and Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (Sars) – are much more severe, having killed more than 1,500 people between them since 2002.

The new virus, officially called Covid-19, is also dangerous. So far, around 20 per cent of confirmed cases have been classed as severe or critical, and the death rate stands at around two per cent.
There are a lot of conversations about Corona Virus. So today’s topic is Covid. Let us start with great news which is good for India i.e. Corona Virus dies above the temperature of 38°. In India, summer is on its way. It is going to be very hot in the coming days. In summer it becomes very difficult to spread Corona Virus. So it is good news for us. But now you have to understand some things about this virus. The diameter of Corona Virus is of 400 microns. It is very heavy in weight. When a Corona Virus infected person coughs, the droplets that come out do not stay for long in air, they settle on any surface. It may be possible that a person can get COVID-19 by touching that surface or object which has the virus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes. Like this, droplet reaches to your lungs and then it produces infection. Basically, when this droplet reaches your lungs, then fever and cough occurs. So always keep in mind that wherever you are putting your hands, that hand should not go in the mouth. Because that virus will go inside through the mouth. Then it will either get stuck in the throat and go from there to your lungs. To prevent the virus from entering, you have to try not to take the hand to the mouth and wash your hands frequently. If you want to meet someone, don’t shake hands, only say hello. Avoid going to a crowded place, particularly where there are more international passengers. Because we do not know from where they are bringing the virus and this way the virus is spreading. If you take care of this few things then the virus will not be able to affect you much. Another important thing is that the death rate of corona virus is very low. If the virus affects 100 people, then only two or three die. This virus affects elderly people more, who have less resistant power. Even if the young group has an infection, the chances of death are very less. This virus has already taken the form of an epidemic. So, one should take care of himself and should take precautions. If you have a severe cold or cough, there is no need to be panic or afraid, get your checkup done, and take proper rest and medication.

Common signs of infection include respiratory symptoms like fever, dry cough, and shortness of breath, tiredness and a general feeling of being unwell. In more severe cases, infection can cause pneumonia, severe acute respiratory syndrome, kidney failure and even death.

There are simple things you can do to help keep yourself and others healthy:

1.) Wash your hands often with soap and water for at least 20 seconds, especially after blowing your nose, coughing, or sneezing; going to the bathroom; and before eating or preparing food.
2.) Avoid touching your eyes, nose, and mouth with unwashed hands.
3.) Stay home when you are sick.
4.) Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue, then throw the tissue in the trash.
