Can I take almonds (badam)?
Almonds are the seeds of a tree closely related to the peach. In fact, the fruits look rather like small green peaches.
There are two basic varieties of almonds sweet almonds and bitter almonds.
Almonds are extremely nourishing and have long been valued as a good muscle and bodybuilding substance but they have very high calories and fat content. 100 gms of almonds will give 655 calories and give 58.9 gm of fat which means 12 tsp of oil. So they should completely be avoided.
